Paul Mertzic found his calling: working with underserved populations through CMC’s various community programs. He began as a student and orderly in 1974 and later returned in the late 1990s to work in community health, where he discovered his passion for outreach work.

Working with the community: and caring for those in need became his focus. “It is such a great population that is so underappreciated,” he says. “I am proud that CMC steps in and does what we should be doing with Catholic healthcare.”

Having experienced: firsthand, Paul has seen how CMC's approach to aiding the homeless has progressed. The organization now follows an integrated healthcare model, combining behavioral and physical health services.

“We don’t just: give money. We want to be a part of helping those who need help most in our community,” he said.

Paul's roles at CMC: Executive Director, Community Health & Mission; Executive Director, Operations PPA & Community Health Services; Director, Community Health; Director, Community Education; Community Health Educator; Awards include: Leadership Manchester; Leadership NH Class of 2014; St Martins de Porres Award 2018; Community Leadership Award 2017; Good Samaritan Award 2006; CMC Mission Award 2010; Makin’ It Happen Resiliency Award
