The Pastoral Care Department serves an integral role in the patient care team, embracing a holistic approach to the care of patients. The staff is made up of trained professionals who provide an interfaith pastoral care ministry as a resource in times of crisis or need.
Chaplains assist patients, relatives, friends or staff to understand the interaction between their faith and any anxiety while they are in the hospital. Chaplains visit, listen, advocate and seek to promote the worth and dignity of each individual by addressing concerns from a spiritual perspective.
During a patient’s stay, a referral may be made to a chaplain at anytime by calling the switchboard or the Pastoral Care Office at 603.663.2081.
